For the Newly Awakened Witch
A spiritual awakening marks the beginning of a new journey down a new path. Awakening is not easy, it's not pretty. We can feel like we're losing our sh*t. It can be a dark and lonely time, even if we're surrounded by tons of loved ones. It's a process we must go through alone.
The good news is, it won't last forever, and at the end you will be more in touch with yourself than ever before. Your soul is evolving, you're leveling up. Through the awakening you may question your beliefs, you may not feel the same desires as you once did, material things may not bring as much joy as they once did. You are becoming a Brand New Witch, or B*tch if magick isn't your thing.
Signs of an awakening
-You may experience Dark Night of the Soul, you may feel empty, confused, disconnected. You may be searching for something, but you don't know what. This can be brought on by a traumatic event, such as death of a loved one, divorce, illness, breakup, a major life change.
- You start to see life in a different way. You'll see through lies and delusions, you may feel unhappy with the state of the world.
- You begin to question everything. You begin to soul search for your life's purpose, spiritual destiny, the meaning of life. You may begin to be drawn or more drawn to the metaphysical world.
-You may find new teachers, practices or belief systems. These will bring you joy, hope and awe.
-There is an ebb and flow to an awakening. You may feel on the upswing, then experience a downward spiral and feel totally disconnected
once again. You may have breakthroughs, then begin to doubt them. You may begin to crave more authenticity, from others and yourself.
- The awe you felt in the fluff of all the shiny new things will fade, you will now realize you must do inner work to get through this. Shadow work is usually begun, you get in touch with yourself, you may begin to practice meditation, change your diet and get more healthy physically and mentally, realize we all have faults and accept your role in past events. Forgive people for doing you wrong, not for them, but for you, so you can heal and move on.
- Finally you take what you've learned and apply it to your life. You share it with others in need. You don't focus as much on "me" as you do "we". You will see the big picture now, and you will be able to not only spot others, but help others who are going through the same process. Sometimes someone just needs to hear they're not going crazy, they're having an awakening and you've been through it too. You will feel connected and at peace with yourself.
Until it happens again later on, but that's another roller, and at least you'll know the signs, we are always leveling up!!
